About Me:
I have always been fascinated by people and their unique journeys. And for a little about me, my own life has a rich variety of complicated relationships which I have always been curious about.
Why do I react the way I do to some people and differently to others? How do I relate to that person and manage that relationship? As such in a more meaningful and helpful way? How do I cope with irrevocable change and things I can’t resolve but have to live with?
Looking for answers to these questions lead me on a journey. This is where I discovered therapy both from the outside and the inside. I discovered how much having someone really listen to me helped me. Finally my thoughts seemed to calm down enough to take a proper look at my life.
I have come to understand how to balance and work with the changes I welcome with those I really don’t want. I have learned many skills and techniques that help me feel stable. In an everchanging world and to find meaning and encouragement in my everyday life.
I replenish my personal resources by spending as much time in nature as I can. I use a Zen meditation in the Plum village tradition and a Tai Chi practice to ground myself regularly and at least once a year I enjoy ‘raging against the hills’ in the form of long distance hiking.
From my studios in Canterbury Kent & Whitley Bay Newcastle I offer counselling. I have clients from across the UK for my online counselling sessions.
